How Long Does SEO Take?
Like any worthwhile process, SEO takes time. SEO takes time because each high quality link we negotiate or build to your site takes a while to create. On average, our clients starting noticing a positive change in rankings within about 45 days. However, we've seen movement in less than two weeks for established sites that only needed minor adjustments - this is the exception though. Very competitive terms may take significantly longer. There are three factors that influence how long SEO takes:
1. The age of your website
2. The structure and content of your website
3. The number and quality of links from other sites pointing to yours.
Why Does It Take So Long?
It takes a while to change search results. Search engines use 'robots' to crawl the web and take a snapshot of each bit of content they find. Search engine robots don't come by every day. In fact, it could be weeks or months before the work we've done gets noticed. This is due to the size of the web and its exponential growth, as well as the crawl rate of search engine spiders like 'GoogleBot'.
Is There a Long-Term Contract?
No. You can stop with 30-days notice after the initial 90 days.
How Much Does SEO Cost?
SEO Costs $1250 and up per month depending on the age of the site being optimized, the quality of the site from a structure and content point of view, and the number and quality of links pointing to the site now vs. how many need to exist.
Will My Site Be Re-Designed?
Probably not. Search engines are pretty much blind to images, but not to good content. The aesthetics of a site have nothing to do with search engine optimization but they do have much to do with whether a person trusts your site and your company. But if your site doesn't convert prospective customers to paying customers, you'll want to think about re-designing your site.
The kinds of changes we make to your site are minor and usually include adjustments to the HTML code, copy, and minor structural changes to your site. We will most likely suggest changes to the words on your site to be in line with recent changes to Googles search formulas.
How Do We Measure Success?
We manage SEO success objectively. Every month we send our own herd of 'bots' out to crawl search engine results in the major search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. Our bots record how your site is doing in search engine rankings on a monthly basis and record those results. We then graph your results over time so you can see how your site is doing visually as well as numerically. Our reports are very clear and easy to understand.
